About George Maillis
George Maillis is a passionate and driven performer who loves bringing stories to life and connecting with audiences. Currently a student at the Institute for American Musical Theatre (IAMT), he has trained extensively in voice, acting, and dance, developing into a versatile artist who feels at home in a wide range of styles.
He has been recognized for his work on stage, including his portrayal of Anthony Hope in Sweeney Todd, which earned him a Broadway World Award nomination for Best Performer in a Musical. He also brought warmth and sincerity to the role of Jack in Into the Woods. Most recently, George took on the iconic role of Danny Zuko in Grease, working under the direction of Ryan Emmons, an experience that further strengthened his love for collaboration and storytelling.
With training in musical theatre dance, jazz funk, ballet, contemporary, tap, and hip-hop, George approaches every project with curiosity, discipline, and a strong work ethic. Whether he’s tackling a classic musical or something more contemporary, he brings energy, heart, and a genuine love for the craft to every performance.
Offstage, George is always looking for ways to grow—whether that’s refining his skills, collaborating with other artists, or finding new stories to tell. He’s excited to keep learning, creating, and sharing his passion for theatre with every audience he meets.
